I'm glad you enjoyed it too. I know what you mean, though. Sometimes watching the movie first changes the reading experience for me too. I really like your questions about fairy tales and nursery rhymes. I wasn't familiar with any English nursery rhymes before reading this book for the first time, but I like the way he incorporated them into the story. And I also like how the story manages to perfectly follow "fairy tale logic" without being a retelling of any particular fairy tale. This is one of my favourite books. I’m glad you enjoyed it too.
