I forced myself to finish Wuthering Heights. I hated it as much at the end as I did half way through. I hate most that it’s thought of as a love story. Obsession isn’t love.

HELLS YES, I couldn’t agree with you more. Hated, hated, hated this book. I’m not even sure I could say it was well-written because I just didn’t see it. Ah well.

Many bloggers have reminded me of my least favorite classics. Wuthering Heights (for me) is not a likable book, although it’s well-written. It’s too dark and a bit hysterical. I’m not keen on the violence. For my answer to the BTT, I picked Moby Dick (dreadful) and The Alchemist (fluffy crap).

Wuthering Heights was a bit of a dud for me too, but maybe because it is not my favorite genre, maybe I was too young when I read it. I’m not willing to try again now though!
