Today’s meme is taken from one of Literary Feline‘s contests:
“Name a favorite literary couple and tell me why they are a favorite. If you cannot choose just one, that is okay too. Name as many as you like – sometimes narrowing down a list can be extremely difficult and painful. Or maybe that’s just me.”
Now, I’m not much of a romantic, but when I want to read about romance I head straight for Pride and Prejudice. Yep, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. I love their story – written or acted. :)
I’m having a hard time coming up with other examples. A lot of the more modern literary fiction focuses on love stories gone bad. I’ll just have to submit that one.
Which literary couple is your favorite?

Sir Percy & Marguerite Blakeney from The Scarlet Pimpernel. :)

That seems to be the popular answer, but I chose another couple.
I have the feeling that you’re not much into romance story so I’m very surprised you’ve have Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth, Jessica! But I agree that Pride and Prejudice is well-written.
Tyler Durden and Marla Singer. If that’s not a modern romance, what is?
Anne and Gilbert. Love them!
Dare I say Bella and Edward. (I know, I know, I should be ashamed!)
