Read-a-Thon: Bowing Out

October 18, 2008

in Book Events

Um . . . yeah.  It looks like this is not going to be the read-a-thon for me.  I didn’t get to bed at a reasonable hour, and 6:00 a.m. came a little too early.  When I did wake up, I started reading, but now the day (and life) has interfered with my plan.  Rather than try to push through the end of the event, I’ll just read a little today, get some things off of my to-do list, check in on other read-a-thoners, and sign up again in April.  Here are my pathetic stats, in case you’re interested:

Title(s) of Book(s) Read: An Abundance of Katherines, by John Green
Total Number of Books Read: 0
Total Number of Pages Read: 20
Total Time Spent Reading: 15 minutes

And, with that, I’m off.  Good luck to everyone else!

Don’t feel bad, I’m finishing up now too. I did power through at least one book though!

I’m just checking in myself, in the eddies of mundane errands. But I did manage to read half of Guernsey Literary and Potato book. Hope you enjoy the weekend! :)

That’s okay – there’s always next time. :)

I don’t think I’ll ever participate in a read-a-thon; too much eye and butt strain. Don’t feel bad–it’s not for everyone.

I had a hard time with this one too. I promise to devote my time in April to the read-a-thon. btw, I love the lit flicks challenge.
