Of my last batch of library books, I read only one (The Hour I First Believed). I decided that on this trip, I would be more realistic in my selections. Thus, I carefully selected relatively short books that will satisfy challenge requirements. Again, I wasn’t disappointed by the small but thoughtful collection at my infant city library. Here’s my loot from the library this week:
- Fantastic Mr. Fox, by Roald Dahl – Soon to be made into a movie directed by Wes Anderson
- American Born Chinese, by Gene Luen Yang – For the Printz Project
- The Road, by Cormac McCarthy – For the Pulitzer Project

The Road is a great read!
I didn’t realise The Road was a short book! I still don’t want to read it, lol, but that’s interesting. I can’t wait for the Wes Anderson movie-I’ve loved all Life Aquatic so far. :D
ABC is such a wonderful graphic novel – well-drawn in a very unique style, with a beautiful story to boot.
I think you’ll enjoy American Born Chinese.
Heh. I’m reading The Road right now.
I keep seeing Mr. Fox everywhere. I’m going to have to read it. I hope you like American Born Chinese. Happy reading!
I liked both American Born Chinese and The Road. Good choices! And, you can’t go wrong with Dahl, even if I haven’t read this particular one yet.
