The publisher sent me this book unsolicited, intuiting, I suppose, that I am a grammar nerd. Being a grammar nerd, I enjoyed flipping through this book of grammar mistakes captured in the real world. Sharon Eliza Nichols started a Facebook group, cleverly titled, I Judge You When You Use Poor Grammar. Members of the Facebook group upload pictures of examples of poor grammar, like the one below:

Now that the Facebook group has thousands of members, Nichols has compiled many of the pictures uploaded by members into a book, with commentary. While I am against poor grammar, many of the pictures in the book were repetitious. I get it; if you mean “you are,” spell it “you’re.” Also, Nichols’s commentary fell pretty flat. Still, there are some good chuckles in there. And if you like to ridicule those who use poor grammar, then this is the book for you. I Judge You When You Use Poor Grammar goes on sale September 29, 2009.

That sign portrays poor spelling, not grammar. I don’t think that book’s for me.
Sounds like a fun book.
I feel sort of guilty when I make fun of people who use bad grammar…Love the title though!
Title sounds good. But both spelling and grammar errors are prevalent in the picture shown above..
I think a little of this book would go a long way (I’d tire of it soon!). I am a grammar/spelling stickler … have you read Lynn Truss’ EAT SHOOTS AND LEAVES?
It looks like a book that you’d just want to flip open every now and then just for a chuckle, not one you’d want to read straight through.
