		<description>I teach high school and the 10th graders read this.  Most of them find it very moving.  It leads to wonderful discussions about teens in adult facilities, extent of guilt and involvement, and who are real friends.  In 11th grade they will read Native Son and Monster is a good lead in.

		<description>That sounds like a powerful book.  My mom and I just had a discussion the other day about putting juveniles in jail - we both feel there&#039;s got to be a better way to deal with them.  I think we&#039;d both enjoy this book.  Thanks for your review.
