I remember hearing about this a while ago, but I think it slipped my mind before making it to the TBR notebook. Thanks for the reminder! How different to meet a narrator who is interested in polar explorers rather than bad boys :)

I read another of her books, The Kite Rider, with my son when he was in the 6th grade, because he was assigned to read something about ancient China. It was surprisingly atmospheric and enjoyable! I’ll have to check this one out, too–thanks :)
