This was kind of a slow reading month, with the holidays and all. My pick of the month is probably Life of Pi.

Book Club

Walking Across Egypt, by Clyde Edgerton; Meeting – 12/17/2009

We had an interesting discussion about Walking Across Egypt, including viewing some clips of the film. Everyone seemed kind to have pretty lukewarm feelings about the book as a whole, though.

Coming up next month: North and South, by Elizabeth Gaskell.

Monthly Highlights

• I wrapped up a number of challenges (see above), and failed a few.
• I got a fabulous package from my secret santa in the Book Blogger Holiday Swap.
• I participated in the Classics Circuit for Elizabeth Gaskell with my partial review of North and South. My full review will be posted in a couple of weeks.
• And, I’m STILL trying to catch up on book reviews, so be patient with me!
