Here is an abstract of my literary doings in March.
Books Read
A Field Guide To Burying Your Parents, by Liza Palmer – 3/8/2010
The Jewel Trader of Pegu, by Jeffrey Hantover – 3/11/2010
Revolutionary Road, by Richard Yates – 3/17/2010
Moonlight in Odessa, by Janet Skeslien Charles – 3/29/2010
March Total = 4
Year-to-Date Total = 7
I’m gaining some momentum with my reading. My pick of the month has to be Revolutionary Road.
Book Club
Rebecca, by Daphne du Maurier; Meeting – 3/18/2010
We had a lovely discussion of Rebecca. One of the things I love most about this book club is that there are so many different opinions. Rebecca is one of my favorite books, but not everyone feels that way, and it was interesting to hear why.
Coming up next month: Bel Canto, by Ann Patchett
Challenges
Check out my Challenges page for updates anytime.
Reading Deliberately – 2/12 [ends 12/31/2010]
The Pulitzer Project – 9/83
The Printz Project – 5/11 (+4 Honor books)
The Newberry Project – 18/89 (+7 Honor books)
Monthly Highlights
- We celebrated Steve Kluger Week here at The Bluestocking Society, complete with three reviews, an interview with Mr. Kluger, and a giveaway.
- I’m slowly but surely catching up on my reviews. I posted nine this month, including the reviews for all four books I read this month!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by my blog this month!
