Library Loot: April 2010

April 22, 2010

in Memes & Miscellany

Today I stopped in to my local library to return a book (unread) that was due. I’ve been a rather lax library patron for the last several months, but I want to get back into borrowing, rather than buying, books. So, I picked up three literary fiction books that have been on my list for a while and a memoir. The one nice thing about our relatively new and small local library is that there are fewer patrons and the books it does have are more available. Here is my library loot:

  • Let the Great World Spin, by Colum McCann
  • Sag Harbor, by Colson Whitehead
  • These Is My Words, by Nancy Turner
  • In Spite of Myself, by Christopher Plummer

What did you get from the library this week?

I love libraries!! I would be broke and living on the street without mine. This week I picked up ‘Wolf Hall’ by Hilary Mantel, ‘Night Watch’ by Sarah Waters and a Nigella Lawson DVD. Fabulous :)
.-= Elise´s last blog ..Book Review: Beatrice and Virgil by Yann Martel =-.

Let the Great World Spin is on my list. I am going to try and finish Woman tonight (but I think I will be buying it so if I don’t finish, I’ll soon get a copy) but what I’m MOST excited about for my visit to the library tomorrow is Will Grayson Will Grayson by John Green which is on hold for me. Enjoy your loot!
