Damon Galgut In a Strange Room (Grove Atlantic – Atlantic Books)
Howard Jacobson The Finkler Question (Bloomsbury)
Andrea Levy The Long Song (Headline Publishing Group – Headline Review)
Tom McCarthy C (Random House – Jonathan Cape)
David Mitchell The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet (Hodder & Stoughton – Sceptre)
Lisa Moore February (Random House – Chatto & Windus)
Paul Murray Skippy Dies (Penguin – Hamish Hamilton)
Rose Tremain Trespass (Random House – Chatto & Windus)
Christos Tsiolkas The Slap (Grove Atlantic – Tuskar Rock)
Alan Warner The Stars in the Bright Sky (Random House – Jonathan Cape)
These thirteen will be paired down to a short list on September 7th, with the winner announced on October 12th. I’ve officially read none of these books, though I would like to read Mitchell’s book ASAP. Which of these have you read?

I haven’t read any of these. I get so excited by lists of books, but there are a lot there, most of which aren’t at the library yet… I’ll make more of an effort to read the short list I think. Really want to read the David Mitchell one as well.
