New Releases – August 2010

August 2, 2010

in Features,New Releases

I had/have a feature that I’ve done sporadically in which I highlight new releases and paperback releases. As I originally conceived the idea, it would appear every Tuesday – the day new books are generally released. But once a week was a little too much for me to keep up with. So the feature languished in semi-hiatus. Until now. I’ve come up with a solution that I think will work for me, and hopefully you. One new release post per month. Ta da! Ingenious, right? I thought so.

So, here’s a look at what will be coming out in August:

Hardbacks

The Chicago Manual of Style, 16th Edition (August 1, 2010)
Artemis Fowl: The Atlantis Complex, by Eoin Colfer (August 3, 2010)
The Red Queen, by Philippa Gregory (August 3, 2010)
Tough Customer, by Sandra Brown (August 10, 2010)
The Postcard Killers, by James Patterson (August 16, 2010)
LOST Encyclopedia, by Tara Bennett and Paul Terry (August 24, 2010)
Mockingjay, by Suzanne Collins (August 24, 2010)
Clockwork Angel, by Cassandra Clare (August 31, 2010)

Paperbacks

Breaking Dawn, by Stephenie Meyer (August 3, 2010)
A Scattered Life, by Karen McQuestion (August 10, 2010)
The Maze Runner, by James Dashner (August 24, 2010)
Wolf Hall, by Hilary Mantel (August 31, 2010)

I don’t know about you, but I’m most excited about MOCKINGJAY! And, it’ll be nice to have WOLF HALL in paperback. Maybe I’ll finally get around to reading it.

Did I miss one that you’re particularly excited about? Let me know in the comments.

I’m looking forward to Clockwork Angel as well. I need to check and make sure I pre-ordered it!

Mandy – Thanks for stopping by. I think there are a lot of anxiously anticipated books this month! I look forward to reading your review of CLOCKWORK ANGEL.

I’m so excited about both Mockingjay and The Red Queen. I love The Hunger Games series, like everyone else, and I really enjoyed The White Queen when I read it last year.

Dominique – I think there is a lot of MOCKINGJAY fever going around about now! I haven’t read any Gregory, but I’ll probably get to her before long.
